Tammy Gleason - Department Head
I have been teaching Mathematics for the past 18 years. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree at the University of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and completed my Masters in Education through Viterbo University. I taught sixteen years at Appleton North High School in Wisconsin and recently moved to Fort Myers, where I have been with Cypress Lake High School for the past two years. This year I will be teaching Algebra 2 Honors and Statistics and Probability Honors. In addition, I am one of the Math Team Coaches for our high school. This is my 12th year of teaching at Cypress Lake High School. I have a Master of Science Teaching in Physics (MST) from Wright State University. I am teaching AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC this year. I am a member of the AP Capstone program and I am also the Science Department Chairman. I also volunteer as a coach for the boys’ basketball team. In my spare time I like to play golf and volunteer for Special Olympics tennis and golf. I have been married to my wonderful wife Joyce for 44 years and we have one son named David.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and a M.S. in Education from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. I have 24 years of teaching experience in Illinois and Iowa and 2 years of teaching experience in Florida.
My 2016-2017 teaching assignment will be Math for College Readiness and Advanced Topics in Mathematics. I like to run, ride bike, read, and spend time with my husband in my spare time.
