Kenya Cedeño

Mrs. Cedeno teaches Spanish 1 and 2, serves as CLHS Spanish Coach and Spanish Honor Society Advisor.  This will be her fifth year at Cypress Lake High School, but she has over 8 years of teaching experience in Lee County. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rutgers University and completed her Master of Education in TESOL from Grand Canyon University. She is married to Basketball Coach Arthur Cedeno and they have three children, Alan, Anthony, and Sophia. She loves sharing her knowledge with students and loves teachings in CLHS.

Javier Garcia

Javier Garcia is originally from Valencia, Venezuela. He has degrees in Spanish and Interdisciplinary Studies from FGCU and has been teaching at Cypress for 18 years. Normally, Mr. Garcia teaches AP Spanish Language, Spanish 4 Honors, Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 2 and sometimes AP Spanish Literature. In his spare time, he loves to travel, read and spend time with his son.

Barbara VanNetta

Ms. Van Netta is teaching French I, French II, German I and German II this year.  She is also the French and German Honor Society sponsor as well as the Helping Hands Community Service Sponsor.  If interested in earning community service hours, please contact Ms. Van Netta.  She has been teaching for 28 years and 18 of those years has been at Cypress Lake High.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her four children, biking, running and swimming.
